United Presbyterian Church Groups
The purpose of the UNITED PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN (UPW) is: to commit to nurturing faith through prayer and Bible study; to support the mission of the church worldwide; and to build a caring community of women to work for justice and peace that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
Within the UPW there are two Circles, called Esther and Lydia. They meet together on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Every meeting begins with a Bible study given by the Pastor; a short business meeting follows.
Many service projects are supported by the UPW, as well as visits made to various nursing homes. The UPW holds various fund raisers to support many different missions and projects.
All women of the church are invited to join. The fellowship is great, spiritual needs are met and, most of all, the members have a great time working together as Christian women doing God's work. It's rewarding and full of fun!
Circle Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month 7:00 pm at the Church. Each and every woman is invited to join us for a blessed respite from the daily routine.
These circle meetings include:
Bible Study - to helps us to understand the Scriptures more fully.
Fellowship - to share experiences and seek to help others.
A short business meeting - Some of the things discussed are: Mother/Child Banquet, funding for local and worldwide missions, and enhancing the church building.
